Los Angeles-based independent music band OYLS is offering album space for promotion and advertising on their upcoming album.

Los Angeles, CA – September 1, 2020 – Popular indie electronic music band OYLS is all set to launch a new wave of monetization in the global music industry. The LA-based band has recently announced they are offering advertising space for sale on their upcoming album cover for a nominal price of $4.99. It’s definitely a landmark move as it’s the FIRST time a band has come up with such an innovative initiative in the history of global music.

OYLS is scheduled to release their upcoming album on October 2, 2020. It’s going to be the band’s first full length record to date. The completed album art will be up on major music channels like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, Youtube Music, and more.

The album art space sale will be live beginning September 1, 2020. Part of the proceeds from the album art sale will go to MusiCares, a foundation that helps musicians struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.

“We are glad to announce we’re on our way to creating music history by allowing the purchase of advertising space on our upcoming album cover. This is something that has never been done in the music industry and we are the first band to introduce the idea to the global music world. You can purchase the album space for a logo or any other promotional artworks at a nominal price and gain exposure for your brand in front of a global audience. Our album will be featured on all highly frequented music streaming channels so you can be assured massive exposure here,” stated OYLS.

OYLS’ new historic initiative presents a new model for music monetization, especially at a time when Coronavirus is curbing traditional revenue streams for musicians. OYLS stressed that their historic call would provide fans an excellent opportunity to actively participate in a release. Additionally, it would enable advertisers to place their ads in an incredibly novel place – a band’s album art, which would be distributed on all major music streaming platforms.

“We wanted a unique way to collaborate with fans for our new record. Our new initiative introduces a novel form of monetization, especially at a time when Coronavirus has dealt a heavy blow on traditional revenue streams for musicians. Most importantly, this helps raise money and awareness for an important cause: MusiCares, a foundation that supports struggling musicians suffering from mental issues and substance abuse.”

The current COVID-19 pandemic has kept fans craving the intimacy and thrill of live performances which seem to be a distant dream for the rest of 2020. But OYLS’ recent historic endeavor is offering fans an alternate but also personal means to connect with their favorite indie band. It’s a small step yet this pilot project is expected to go a long way in opening the doors to musical sustainability, especially in today’s challenging times.
