 ELECTRIC DOUBLE LINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM SOLUTION

System Composition

This double line  lubrication system is mainly composed of KDD electric lubrication pump, SA-V directional valve, SG-A differential pressure switch and DDV duline distributor. The system is controlled by an independent controller. Main pipeline in the system φ 48×8 seamless steel pipe, branch pipe leading to distributor adopts φ 16×2.5 seamless steel pipe. Welded pipe joints are used for main pipe connection, and ferrule type pipe joints can be used for branch pipe connection.

The electric double line centralized lubrication system consists of the following main components (refer to the following schematic diagram):

Working Principle Of The System

Double line lubrication system refers to that there are two main oil supply pipelines, and the distributor can be connected to the pipeline in parallel or in series. In one working cycle, the two main pipes supply oil alternately, and the lubricating oil is delivered to the lubricating point quantitatively through the oil outlets on both sides of the distributor. The oil supply switching signal of the two main pipelines is provided by the differential pressure switch, which controls the reversing of the two position four-way reversing valve to complete the oil supply switching process of the two main pipelines.

1、Working Process

The specific working process is as follows: After the lubricating pump is started, the grease is continuously sucked in from the oil storage barrel and output from the pump outlet. The output grease enters the main pipe 1 through the two position four-way reversing valve. At this time, the main pipe 2 is connected with the oil barrel through the oil return port of the two position four-way reversing valve and is in the unloading state. The lubricating grease in the main pipeline 1 drives the oil supply piston in the distributor to move to one side. During the piston movement, the lubricating grease at the front end of the piston will be quantitatively transported to the branch pipeline through the distributor outlet and sent to each lubricating point through the branch pipeline. When the oil supply pistons in all distributors reach the end of the stroke, the pressure in the main pipe 1 will rise rapidly. When the differential pressure switch installed at the end of the main pipe detects that the pressure difference between the main pipe 1 and the main pipe 2 exceeds 5Mpa, it will send an electrical signal. After receiving this signal, the control system will control the reversing of the two position four-way reversing valve. After changing, the main pipe 1 is connected with the oil barrel through the oil return port of the two position four-way reversing valve, which is in the unloading state. The main pipe 2 is connected with the oil outlet of the pump through the two position four-way reversing valve, and the lubricating grease output by the pump enters the main pipe 2. The lubricating grease in the main pipeline 2 pushes the oil supply piston in the distributor to move to the other side. During the piston movement, the lubricating grease at the front end of the piston will enter each lubricating point through the oil outlet of the distributor and branch pipe . When all pistons reach the end of the stroke, the pressure in main pipeline 2 will rise rapidly. Similarly, when the differential pressure switch detects that the pressure difference between main pipeline 2 and main pipeline 1 exceeds 5Mpa, it will send an electrical signal. The control system will control the reversing valve after obtaining the signal. After the change, the main pipe 2 is in the unloading state again, and the main pipe 1 is connected with the pump oil outlet, so the system completes an action cycle.

2System Testing

If it is necessary to detect whether the oil supply at the lubricating point is normal, observe the motion indicator rod installed on the distributor, and judge according to the action of the indicator rod in a working cycle. Under normal circumstances, the indicator rod will extend and retract once in a working cycle. The two corresponding oil outlets on both sides of the distributor share a motion indicator rod to indicate the oil outlet status. If the indicator rod does not act during the working cycle, it means that the oil outlet corresponding to the indicator rod is abnormal, and it must be checked to see if the lubricating point is blocked, and remove the fault.

In addition, a liquid level switch is installed in the oil storage barrel of the lubricating pump. If the level of lubricating grease in the barrel is too low, the control system will send an alarm signal to remind the user to fill the grease in time. When the lubricating grease is filled to a high level, the control system will remind prople to stop filling.

3System control

After the pump starts, the controller will detect the oil supply switching times of the two main pipes. When the switching times reach the preset value, the pump will stop working, and the system will enter the interval timing state. When the interval time reaches the preset value, the lubrication pump will start again and the next cycle will start. The cycle times of system operation can be realized by setting the switching times of two main pipelines, that is, the main pipeline switches once, the system completes half a cycle, and the main pipeline switches twice, the system completes one cycle. The time of the control system in the interval state can also be preset by the controller.

2Electric Reversing Valve

The reversing valve is driven by a high torque DC reduction motor, so the reversing action is very reliable even under severe working conditions (such as low temperature or high viscosity grease). In the process of reversing, the piston runs at a high speed in a very short time, reducing reciprocating, so as to avoid premature wear. After receiving the commutation signal in the system, the DC motor rotates and converts the rotary motion into the linear reciprocating motion of the piston rod through the eccentric wheel. When the piston moves from one end to the other end and reaches the required reversing position, the limit switch acts, causing the DC motor to lose power, then the motor stops rotating, and the reversing process is completed.

4Differential pressure switch

The differential pressure switch is used in the two-wire centralized lubrication system and is installed at the end of the farthest pipeline of the main pipeline. When the differential pressure at the ends of the two main pipelines reaches 5 ± 0.5MPa, the internal contact of the differential pressure switch closes to send an electrical signal to control the action of the reversing valve or monitor the lubrication system. A two-wire distributor must be installed behind the differential pressure switch (the two-wire distributor is farthest from the directional valve) to prevent the grease in the differential pressure switch from aging.

5Duline distributor

The double line distributor is an integral design, with different oil output available. There are two G3/8 threaded holes on the two opposite surfaces of each distributor, and either side can be selected to connect the two main pipes. There are 2 to 8 G1/4 threaded holes on the distributor to connect to each lubricating point. There is no spring in the distributor. The lubricant inside the distributor pushes the piston to move, which is hydraulically operated.
