Urwa Zubair has garnered international renown in recent years with high-rated short films and stunning commercials for industry giants the likes of Chase Bank, Warner Bros, Maker’s Mark, Paramount, and Target.
The popularity of Maker’s Mark is poised to skyrocket soon – Urwa Zubair has prepared a brilliant short film for this company, which is set to launch in September 2023. With Mishel Prada as the main star, this film tells a story of creation, self-doubt, resistance, and overcoming the challenges that come along the way.
Urwa Zubair has also worked on two feature films, one of which featured Elnaaz Norouzi, a famous Iranian actress who rose to stardom by playing Zoya in Sacred Games.

She helmed the production works behind Prohibited, a 2015 short drama starring Zeeshan Shouket and Akber Ladhani. With an enviable score of 7.8/10 on IMDB, Prohibited stands among the top-rated thriller dramas nearly a decade after its launch.

Merely a few years later, Urwa shifted her film production focus to her roots. By producing Arz E Pakistan, she launched a project meant to “capture the region’s essence, the scenic beauty, and raw nature of the tourist attractions.”
Urwa Zubair is a proud holder of 25+ awards and a 50+ nominations for her work. Her most recent commercial for Flonase brought her the HMC Strategic Excellence Award; the beauty of Arz e Pakistan was displayed across five festivals while she won the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival award for the short drama Prohibited.
Even though Urwa is mainly focused on doing high-profile commercials in recent years, she has also produced two additional short movies that were met with critical acclaim – Nanu Aur Main in 2018, and Silver Cord in 2020.

Even though her schedule has been jam-packed with high-profile projects in recent years, Urwa expressed that she is already working on something new.
